the weather has not been cooperating lately, plus rowe has been a bit under it as well, the weather that it. so, we've had lots of inside days - here is today's activity - andy's old decoy box.

other than the lab-rocking horse, rowe has now taken to riding char. her patience is to be commended.

ducklings

this week is spring break in creede and we are the only people left on the ranch. everyone has vanished to warmer, sunnier spots. so, our family has grown a bit. we are taking care of 6 dogs, 3 cats, 42 horses, and now 5 ducklings. andy brought them home from the 'easter' sale at the coop & they are seriously cute. rowe is mesmerized. he squats in front of the cage and just stares.

birdie mae is chugging right along. she is such a mess, literally. her latest nickname is the 'dirty bird,' a shout out for all of you atlanta fans. okay, maybe just alyssa.

the cousins took a farewell bath tonight. i'm not sure how much washing went on, but there were lots of smiles.

andy is totally convinced that rowe is going to be a gear-head, like my brother. all rowe wants to do when we go outside lately is either sit on the tractor or drive the truck. here is his "driving face" - pretty excited.

bets, andy's sister, and her crew are up for the week. they're such cuties. they put on a pretty good wrestling match as well.

rowe's new favorite thing to eat is anything that andy is eating at the time. here we have cinnamon toast crunch.

the snow has finally melted around the ranch's playground so rowe is all about it. he loves to climb the stairs, scoot his little keester around, and go down on his belly.

damon and kiera, our head wrangler and his wife, are our #1 bbsitters. i think damon has been showing rowe some trick moves. a bit too big for his britches, oh wait, there are no britches to speak of.

andy's parents sent him the cutest bday card in november. it had a little boy sharing his ice cream with his puppy & it said, "there's just no hiding a good man's heart." well, like father like son. by the way, i apologize for the hiatus. all is well here. we went to children's hospital up in denver yesterday to check on rowe's ears and there is no hearing loss from all of his earaches, plus he doesn't need tubes. so, that was great news. baby #2 is coming along great, also. the best news yet, well maybe not best, but good news, spring is in the air! we are all a little surprised because march is usually a snow month here, but we'll see. i'll put up some pics of 'mud season,' as it is lovingly titled. rowe is a sucker for the mud puddles, a boy to the bone.
