i had to run into the valley this morning to pick up some antibiotics for rowe's 57th ear ache and thought i would do some 'childless' errands while andy was baby sitting the scooter. so, i stopped in at our local thrift shop just to drop off some toys and they were having the $5-a-bag sale. i'm not quite sure how i shoved all of these clothes into one bag, but the bag did officially close.

our sweet friend lindsey just left for her two year peace corp stint in ecuador. the locals have taken to calling her 'hummingbird.' it's just about the perfect name for her - just gorgeous, completely free, a sucker for honey, let alone her tendency to migrate at a whim. our hummingbirds aren't quite here yet, but the blue birds are and it made me think of you, lins. hope your heart is well.

rowe has been a nut for anything with buttons since birth. he was close to heaven yesterday helping andy on the skid steer. his face was so funny - total concentration, no smiling here folks, 'cause he's workin'.

i started reading a blog when i was pregnant with rowe about a girl from the outer banks who had cf, about to recieve a double lung transplant, and then found out she was pregnant. it is written from the husband's perspective and i found alot of peace in his voice. he mentioned that his wife loved this other blog, which i then started reading. i found a great deal of peace in her voice also. her blog has become amazingly popular and she really sees it as her platform for unabashedly presenting truth. so, her littlest one is having a hard time and people are responding with prayer. it is truly overwhelming to see, to scroll through pictures of people that have never met her, never met her little boy, but feel called to pray for this little fella because it is so apparent that she is seeking His will in the midst of it all. so we are, too. praying for your little heart this morning, stellan.

so much for spring. you can barely make out andy & birdie on their way to work this morning. actually, i think it might be charlie.

andy's mom has been here for easter and we have had such a sweet time. she brought rowe all kinds of goodies: a little rocker, that used to be andy's, a cherry tomato plant, a super cute tricycle, and a little kiddo table with chairs. i'm not even mentioning all of the easter goodies, the goodies she has been cookin' up, and just loving on all of us. she must have had a premonition because she also brought me some new maternity clothes, which shared a predominately pink theme. well, she was right on because baby number 2 is now baby GIRL number 1. everything looked great on the ultrasound yesterday and she's still on for september 3rd.

since we don't officially have a church to go to on sunday, it did seem a bit strange to have rowe try on his texas-cousin-hand-me-down 'easter' outfit, but i couldn't help it. maybe the temperature will amazingly climb to 75 and rowe can sport his digs at our little backyard service. we'll see.
