holdin'

rowe has been loving holding chap lately. "hold chap, peese," he'll say. chap has been a pretty good sport about it.

elk

when we have a hard winter like we are having this year, the elk in our valley tend to appreciate our horses' hay/alphafa. each day one of the guys has to run down and scare them off the hay. it was our duty yesterday. even chapin came along.

game

rowe or chap? only a mother can tell. truthfully, if there wasn't a date on the shot, i think i would have been out of luck, too.

toes

my oldest little one has a tendency of putting his foot in his mouth. i guess my littliest little one might be on her way, too:-) maybe not the whole foot, but at least her toes.

who's who? the blue eyes should help.

bored

this is the 'i'm not quite sure what i am going to tear up next - maybe the bookshelf' look - usually occurs after about fours of being stuck inside because it is still twenty below zero.

airplane

airplanes and helicopters are making a run for rowe's second favorite thing. tractors will forever be his first love. this airplane was a 'potty prize' :-)

smiles

crafts

it was a little chilly this morning so we had some 'crafting time' - thanks to aunt b & the cousins. thanks for the glitter paint markers, kiddos:-) thank you aunt b and your crafty self for the fire engine bib. rowe LOVES it!

champ

we went to the valley for some tests for the little one yesterday. she was such champ! blood drawn, ultra sound, vcug - dye test. she wasn't too happy about having the needle in her arm, but other than that chap just cooed and smiled and won everybody over. all the results came back normal, so we were super excited. rowe was the most excited - not about the results, but about the soccer ball band-aid.

blue

a little bit of blue sky this afternoon

help

this afternoon i heard a huge engine outside, then rowe said, "oh...my...gosh." rocky, our county snow plow driver, was helping clear the roads on all the ranches around creede. andy was loving it because what rocky does in about 10 minutes would have taken andy in the skid steer, damon in one truck and kyle in the other, all day long. so, thanks rocky. plus, you pretty much gave rowe a heart attack:-)

workin'

rowe finishing up a good day's work

snow

even chapin was enjoying the snow today

crib

chap is quickly outgrowing her bassinet. she has been practicing in her new/rowe's old/rowe's now crib. rowe's toddler bed is set to begin construction in the shop asap.

bribe

the potty training bribes:-)

best

the best part of a big snow for ole rowe - snow plowing with the skid steer. very seroius about it.

big

pretty big snow last night - almost three feet. crazy.

bonnet

my nanny (chapin's namesake) found a bonnet from when she was a little one and gave it to our little one. i love it. i think it is just beautiful. it makes the kiddos' room a little more girlie as well. rowe's tractors sort of dominate at this point. chapin will catch up:-)
