first

you can barely see it, but chap's first tooth is here:-)

drivin'

heard some strange noises coming from the laundry room yesterday and i found rowe in the washing machine. he calmly explained to me he was 'driving the steering wheel.' i think this kid's love of all wheeled devices runs deeper than i once thought.

movin'

guess who decided to start crawling... crawling forward that is. she still backs up every now and then, but she is mainly in drive.

fence

the new fence is coming along. andy started putting up the pickets today. more pics to come.

fishin'

andy took rowe fishin' this afternoon. the pond has finally opened up. i'm not sure who is more excited about that - rowe or his daddy. i think it's a toss-up.

rowe was also pretty excited about his stringer/stick full of fish. thankfully, laci lane was outside and rowe could show off his catch.

smiley

this little one fell off a horse today. thank you Jesus for allowing him to get right back up.

boots

this happens every year. the day i pack up all of our winter gear and throw it in the shed, it snows the next day. guess what - snow fore casted for tomorrow. it's all my fault.

please excuse the random boot pic - this is the only 'winter gear' pic i have since i didn't take any pics before i shoved everything in storage.

funny

rowe found this baby pic of andy on the fridge the other day, brought it to me, and said, "baby woe?"

smilin'

with day-light savings, we have been trying to stay outside as along as possible. we eat a pretty early dinner then play outside until about 8. chap has been a champ just hangin' out in the stroller while rowe runs around like crazy. i think she is enjoying day-light savings along with the rest of us.

digger

today was rowe's lucky day. the ranch was having some plumbing work done and that meant an excavator, which meant heaven to ole rowe.

movin'

not much is out of this little one's reach now. and she is pretty happy about that.

jumpin'

a mix of jumps. andy made rowe an awesome lauching pad out of the couch this weekend. i think the jumpin' lasted about two hours.

scootin'

this is where i have been findin' chap lately, with her lower half under the couch. she cannot be convinced to crawl forward, only backward, thus she is forever getting stuck.

cleanin'

if your two year old ever gets into this...

the only thing that is gonna get it out is this...

and alot of this...

i wasn't quite fast enough/sane enough to take a picture of the crime scene, but i'm sure you can imagine. this is what happens when your two year old is supposed to be napping, but instead he is 'plowing a field' with his tractors. no problem unless that 'field' happens to made of diaper cream, all over our maroonish brown carpet. andy and i are super thankful for the ranch house that we live in. the maroonish carpet is however something that with the addition of kiddos we have not been quite as thankful about as before kiddos.

4.15.2010

knee

another example that it is in fact spring. the ranch road is no longer snow covered. bad for rowe's knees, good for his spirits.

happy

these three things make it feel like spring: 1. the trampoline is not covered in snow 2. the tractor is not covered in snow 3. the swing is not covered in snow.

guess who is excited about all of these things not being covered in snow.

first

chap's first piano lesson. please notice the toes sticking out of the pajamas. i think she might be ready for the next size up.

liftin'

the human bench press

new

dear joe & mel,
this little one is reaping the benefits of your awesome old navy card. absolutely loving his new ' dump-twuck' undies. thanks again ya'll.
