big

this little one is getting so big so fast

smilin'

miss cutie tootie

small

somehow rowe managed to get in chap's cars eat & totally buckled himself in. this child is twice her height - at least ten pounds heavier. after he got in, he thought it was hysterical and just laughed and laughed and laughed. it was pretty funny.

fence

forgot to post the finished product. here it is:-)

growin'

my mom brought this crazy-can-plant-thing when she and my dad came out a couple weeks ago. it was this coke can that you water and there is supposed to be a "message" on the plant when it finally blooms....well, it finally bloomed! we love you, too, mom:-)

cups

this needs a little explanation. flying with a two-year old will prompt any sane parent to literally pull anything out of their hat to keep that kid quiet. andy created this game halfway to tennessee, two hours left on the flight, all the dvds watched, snacks eaten, books read, toys played with, and thank goodness he found the empty drink cups. as you can see, rowe still enjoys this game.

smilin'

so fresh and so clean

and so smiley

and so dry:)

lookin'

chap and rowe spent some more time in their boxes this morning. see pics below. chap was just laughin' away and i caught rowe smiling at her. it is such a joy to see my big little one lovin' on my little little one.

readin'

all of a sudden, rowe is back into books. this sudden change of his heart has really encouraged my heart to just treasure sitting down and reading to this kiddo. because let's face it, with this fickle pickle, i might not be reading hippos go beserk until this time next year. it was sure sweet today, though.

more

so after all of the toys were dumped, the boxes were now empty so that became game number 2 of the morning
.

inside

snowed this morning so we have had an inside day. rowe decided that he needed to dump all of his & chap's toys out of their boxes, and then those toys became his 'dirt,' and then he loaded and unloaded that 'dirt' over and over and over and over again.

bow

church bow. that's not the whole truth. this is the bow chap was supposed to wear to church, but then i forgot, so she wore her church bow after church.

recommendation

andy and i saw crazy heart last night and both fell in love with it. what a beautiful, heart-breaking, redeeming movie. it just pulls your heart right in - my favorite kind. so charlie pepper & crew give it two thumbs up:-)

sleepin'

yesterday's nap. falling asleep mid-play, one hand on the dumptruck - thanks to rowe - the other hand on piglet, and then everything else on top of chap's favorite, mrs. lamb.

practicin'

i shouldn't really even explain this because if you are reading this then you already know me. if you know me, then you know my abilities, or lack thereof in this case, in regards to hair, thus i'm practicin' for sweet chap.

chocolate

these...

make for a happy little one!

first cookie. no complaint from sweet chap:)

5.17.2010

luke

this is rowe's hero/mentor, luke. this kid is such a trip. when mom & dad were here he told dad that 'he really needed his leatherman - 'cause he might need to cut down a tree.' rowe couldn't be more blessed with a next door neighbor with a heart like this kiddo. we love ya' lukes! i love, too, that this kid is not gonna let anyone mess with chap either. he calls her his 'pumpkin.'

hair

mr. crazy hair. gotta love trampoline static:-)

standin'

look who's starting to pull up all over the place!

video

one of the biggest hits when my parents were here was my mom & dad's camera's video. rowe loved it. he would say, 'watch woe,' and then after he watched whatever clip he was watching would then say, 'gen, pease,' over and over and over again.

update

i apologize for being a delinquent blogger:-) my parents were here last week, all of the staff for the ranch came this weekend, so we are a bit crazy around here. here is the lasted family pic that my dad took. thanks, dad.

5.15.2010

grammy

chap wanted me to tell you 'happy mother's day,' mom. we love you:-)

5.10.2010

8

happy eight month birthday, a little late, little one!

5.01.2010

clappin'

a new favorite of this sweet girl. she just claps the day away.

open

now poor birdie has to sleep with at least one eye open, preferably two. it is just a given that rowe is after her in some form or fashion, but now she has to watch out for sweet chap, too.

routine

this is the new routine in the morning: every one at the 'sit' position, bowls are put down for the dogs, rowe's vitamin is put on the floor in between charlie & birdie's dog bowls, and then andy says, 'get it.' have i mentioned that we live in a tiny tiny town? we are trying to socialize rowe anyway we can:-) it's a good lesson. everyone has to wait in line for something. might as well learn early.

fence

the fence is coming along!!!

really

this is what it looked liked outside yesterday

so this is what we played with inside.
