charlie p and birbie b don't have a chance. now that hunting season is right around the corner, andy has been training like crazy, char is on a diet, bird isn't allowed out of the house except to train, and then throw rowe in the mix. he has taken it upon himself to continue andy's training whenever andy isn't training. so...rowe wears the e-collar controller at all times - even while reading 'goodnight gorilla' - just to make sure they are staying in line. poor girls. preseason is the worst.

gone

when rowe finishes anything, snack, playin', nap, his response is always... all gone - all done. well, rowe's hair is for sure 'all gone - all done.'

yion

"yions" are the new fav with ole rowe. aaron & robin let us borrow the lion king and rowe is totally glued. i'm attempting to make the viewing a bit more educational so we watch the opening scene over and over and over again - naming all of the animals and the corresponding sounds. the roar is still the favorite.

two weeks to go. one nice bonus to being pregnant in colorado is no one thinks twice abut you wearing a covering-all-your-baby-weight-sweater in the middle of august:-) no hiding the sticking out belly button, though.

andy has been practicing 'calling' for the upcoming duck hunting season and rowe joined in on this session. andy is hoping for a full-time caller by the age of 10.

bath

a nasty stomach bug has been going around the ranch so rowe & i have been trying to lay low. here is one of the afternoon activities. a bath with all of his clothes on. maybe not bath, but at least dumping the toy bowl full of water all over his clothes kind of bath.

first

i'm embarrassed to say this is the first time my 20 month old child has ever seen a hair dryer. i do try and brush my hair every now and then, but blow drying has never been a priority. rowe was a big fan though.

just wanted to say 'happy birthday' - we love you, pa stroud. here is something that you love, well two things you love :-) hope your day is filled with laughter, and maybe even a turkey leg.

momma lee, or 'mona-me' as rowe likes to say, was here to visit for the past couple of days. she was such a huge help with of the little details for bambino #2 coming along. as you can see, she was a huge help with keeping bambino #1 happy, entertained, and full of yummy things as well. we love you, mona me:-)

lion

andy has been using google images to entertain rowe's new found fascination with animals. here is rowe's reaction to a lion hunting down a hyena - a bit stunned at first and then loving it. andy was sure rowe would loose his voice from all of the 'roaring' that he did after this little video clip.
