with poor chap under the weather we have been quarantined, so we were all super excited when she started feeling better yesterday. all systems were go this afternoon, kids down for a long afternoon-get ready to trick or treat-nap and then poor chap wakes up with a 102 fever. so, andy took mr. blue fish and they had an awesome time in creede. fyi-slyvia, the pirate in the first pic, goes to rowe's school and is super cute. if you can't tell, her dad is her parrrot :-) the picture below is post candy.
in other news, a baby giraffe was rescued today and is being nursing back to health.
this picture is for two reasons: poor chap is not up to par. we've been to the doctor three times in two weeks, waiting on results on monday to see where to go from there. she is not a happy camper, poor little thing.
second reason, just a reminder that auburn is kicking some tail:-)
one of andy's best friends from high school came up last week with his whole crew. bryce and haley have two boys that stair step rowe and they are in the process of adopting a third little one, a little girl from ethiopia. i also forgot to mention the two boys, elijah and caleb, have two bears, pabaw, pictured above, and lalow. so they have a car full, to say the least. the morning everybody left, rowe came in as said, "where are my guys?" which i thought was super cute for ole rough and touch magee. so, bryce and haley, you and your crew are welcome back anytime!
also, i added the carter's to the friends list over there so if you want to check on how the baby jewel process is going, just shoot on over.
also, don't you love the bruise in the middle of the forehead:-)
my husband has been very busy, cookies, zip-lines, pumpkins (pics below), giving bottles (pics above). have i mentioned that i love the off-season:-) \i mean look at those cookies. i love the shot of chubby hands #1 smacking off chubby hands #2. chubby hands #2 was excited about getting that cookie, as you can see.
i love that andy and i are a pretty decent balance. example one - this pumpkin. you are not going to get much out of me other than a run of the mill, probably not very good, smiley face pumpkin. in steps andy. hello tractor.
this is rowe's new favorite thing. andy made an awesome zip line. chap is a pretty big fan, too, if you can't tell.it is moderately safe, helmet needed for rowe and lac, but so much fun. rowe's mentor was lovin' it, too, ole lukey luke:-)
so this is chap's new thing. our fridge door is a little heavy and so it doesn't quit close, so if it is a little too quiet in our house, i know where to find one of the two.
so i think rowe had a little more fun than chapin in the bath last night. she was a good sport, sweet thing that she is. as you can see below, he was mightly pleased with his creation.
well, we are alone again. the season is officially over and everyone is long gone. one of the kids' awesome babysitters this summer gave chap's room a going away gift. she knew i loved this - so thanks, caroline. i love love love it. and so will chap when she can read:-)
