so we made another trip to the park yesterday for sweet eileen. gorgeous day at the falls and then topped by seeing an enormous elk and a couple of buffalo. fun day.

peony

so i know everyone else's bloomed in the spring, and it is almost the first of august, but i couldn't be more excited about these flowers. they have really spoken to my heart. i feel like the appearance of peonies, my favorite flower on the planet, in the middle of crazy nowhere idaho has really shown His tenderness to me in a way that i am so thankful for. i mean really, they are simply majestic.

there's a new sheriff in town.

a badge arrived in the mail and one particular person hasn't stopped smiling since then:-)

as you can see, maybe it's two little ones haven't stopped smiling since then. tom, you are absolutely the best. coming from me, andy, rowe, and chap. okay, rowe is leading the pack, but birdie is thrilled as well. can't you tell?

so this is happening more and more. no screaming, no biting, just playing. it is so nice.

so andy has been fishing like crazy on his off days. i got to go with him the other morning, thanks to sweet eileen. here's a pic of one of his browns.

so the last of chap's baby teeth started coming in. a 'baby' no more. you can sort of see the tip of it coming in in the 2nd pic. she is really coming into her own lately. what a mess.

circus

so the tiny town south of us had a circus last saturday night. to come to the middle of nowhere idaho, i was impressed with what they had to offer - tigers, elephants, a pretty neat trapeze show, and last, but not least, snow cones.

so, for the first half of the show the elephants were the favorite. the second half, the snow cones. so here's another pic of mr. elephant.

a couple of weeks ago i was looking for something online at target. i found it, and then they had a clearance link and before i know it i'm buying a size 8 pj set, just because i couldn't NOT buy it. i mean come on.

so the biggest news is that EILEEN is here!! we couldn't be more excited. what a sweet spirit to have upstairs. let alone just herself, she also brought a toy story 3 lego set. i'm not sure there is anything on the planet that rowe would have been more excited about.

exciting addition to the backporch - a pool! i'm not sure if the kids had more fun filling it up or dumping it out. fun was had on both sides.
