beach

had so much fun on our first BEACH day!  marco island is only 30 minutes away.  still can't believe it-) so poor rowe took a bit of a tumble down our unfortunately concrete front steps yesterday, so the strangely zinc oxide covered wound on his head is the before mentioned.

tarpon

had my first day on the water with andy today.  fished for reds, worked on poling a little bit, and even went after some tarpon that were sunning.  pretty fun.  please excuse the whole in andy's pants.  i tried to edit out the b & w one.  perfect example of why my blog has  pictures, nothing with a needle.

andy is truly filing his role as 'provider' as he is bringing home dinner almost every night.  the red in the pic was so good, better than halibut people. i couldn't believe it.  we are off to naples to get some supplies to start our garden tomorrow. livin' off the land :-)

some pics from the porch & the backyard. the boat made it down safely and is loving its new home. here are the mighty crab hunters at work.  they did great - we had a crab dinner last night!  looking good for a pescatarian winter.

since we left at the crack of dawn, everybody had lots of naps

so we went to my brother's yesterday and had a great time. eileen got to ride their crazy horse, the kids rode the tractor and the four wheeler and everything in between. since the camera has been in florida all this time i've gotten in the habit of not shooting everything, so now that it is back, i of course forgot it, so i stole some from eileen's blog. check the rest out on her fun blog @ http://eileenliebtkunterbunt.blogspot.com/ . the highlight was my brother galloping on the previous mentioned crazy horse with his atv helmet on. hilarious.

chapin's namesake, my sweet grandmother, had a big birthday, too. 90! here's to 4 generations. i love it.

here's the new beauty. captain's school is half way completed, next monday is the big test, then andy will run up here, we'll all pack up and then we'll be chokoloskee bound.

dollywood

so i'm trying to give the kids a good taste of east tennessee & what better way than dollywood;-) i'm embarassed to say, sorry dolly, that as a native east tennessean i had never been before, but i would now highly recommend it. the kids stinkin' loved it, rowe especially. my dad took some pics for us so thanks for documenting, dad. braved a couple rollercoasters and had so much fun. you can sort of see andy and i on the wooden one. andy didn't quite enjoy them as much as i did, as this particular one gave him mild whiplash:-)
